YOU couldn’t rake it up! Barcelona are selling pieces of Nou Camp grass to fans for huge sums to boost funds for their £1.3billion stadium renovation.
And the Spanish giants believe the going is good on the turf – with prices ranging up to around £360.
The LaLiga champions left their iconic venue with its 99,354 capacity at the end of last season as they stepped up its massive revamp.
Barca are now at the city’s Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys stadium, which holds 54,000.
But they hope to return to the Nou Camp for the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
And Barcelona have pitched in with what some might consider a cheeky idea to help pay the enormous sum needed for all the work.
They are moving heaven and turf to offload little portions of Nou Camp grass – with sales via their website.
The costliest grass segments are presented in a wooden frame for 419.99 euros (£360).
And the cheapest come in a neat scale model of the stadium for €49.99 (£43).
A methacrylate version sets fans back €79.99 (£69).

Barcelona say they will provide written evidence that each piece of grass has been snipped from the Nou Camp surface.
So in a sense transfer-mad supporters can make their own lawn signings!
