A RECENT discovery a homeowner made in her bathroom has left social media users totally divided – so what do YOU think?
When Symphony Ree, from Appalachia, the USA, got her hands on her new home, little did she know it would come full of surprises – and there was one hiding underneath her bathroom flooring.
Taking to TikTok, the young woman revealed how she was in for the shock of her lifetime after ripping off the existing grey floors and discovering there was something waiting for her.
Symphony, who regularly shares home renovating content on her platform, was thrilled to see that behind the boring wooden floors was a set of gorgeous pink tiles.
After getting rid of all the grey flooring – a process which she described as ”very satisfying” – the homeowner was pleasantly surprised, as she said she was ”in love with these floors”.
Full of ideas on how to make her new home even more ”vintage” and quirky, Symphony added that she also had plans to paint the white walls green and ocean blue.
However, whilst the young TikTok user couldn’t have been more excited for the upcoming DIY projects, the pink tiles left social media fans totally divided.
Some, like Symphony, were obsessed with the original flooring – but others were quick to advise her to stick to the grey.
”No omg, keep the gray,” one urged.
Another chimed in: ”I would absolutely roll over to have grey flooring in our bathrooms.
”We are in a 70’s house style with yellow and brown tile. It’s atrocious.”
A third reckoned: ”The gray’s so much classier.”
However, it seems that most people preferred the pink shade, as many described it as ”a win”.
”The obsession with gray flooring must end! That tile is great!” a fan wrote, with over 64k others liking the comment.
”Omg dusty rose and hunter green…. Welcome back to the 80’s. Oh the childhood memories,” another was excited to see the trend return.
”I think our generation will have memory issues because every single house was gray and white,” someone else added.
”We won’t be able to distinguish between them in our memories.”
”This makes me so happy to see people removing the lifeless grey flooring & decor, and bring back life and colour,” another fan of the look wrote.
