JAMIE CARRAGHER’s con has left Wigan on loan as he aims to gain more game time.
The promising defender spent part of last season on loan at Oldham Atheltic.
He made five appearances for the National League side, but his spell at Boundary Park was cut short due to injury.
Since returning to Wigan, Carragher has featured for the club’s U21s side.
However, he has only featured for the senior team in the Bristol Street Motor’s Trophy in November.
Carragher signed a two-year contract with Wigan last April, which runs until 2025.
Wigan have confirmed that the move has been made in order to help the defender continue his development.
A statement read: “Carragher will now take the next step in his development with first-team football at Inverness CT.
“Good luck, Carra!”
The 21-year-old spent much of his youth career at Liverpool before moving to Wigan in 2017.
His father, Jamie, spent his whole career at the Reds, making 737 appearances in all competitions.
He won one Champions League title, a Uefa Cup, three League Cups and two FA Cups.
