BAYERN MUNICH have hijacked Tottenham’s move for Genoa star Radu Dragusin, according to reports.
Spurs had agreed a deal to sign the defender for £21.5million, with Djed Spence set to head in the opposite direction.
But Bayern have made a last-ditch swoop to try and lure the defender to Germany and it is up to Dragusin to decide which club he wants to join, report the Daily Mail.
Bayern’s bid is believed to be a straight cash offer worth around £25m.
Spurs were hopeful of completing a deal but Spence’s hesitation about joining Genoa on loan placed the transfer in doubt.
Spence, 23, was recalled from a disappointing loan spell at Leeds earlier last week.
It was expected that the club would put him up for sale to boost their transfer funds.
Dragusin, 21, was expected to travel to London this week to complete his switch to Tottenham – before Bayern intervened.
Spurs have been busy since the transfer window re-opened and have confirmed the capture of Timo Werner on loan.
SunSport understands Spurs have the option to buy Werner in the summer for a fee between the region of £13million and £17m.
