XBOX users have access to a rewards program that can help them play games for free.
Microsoft’s Rewards Program has been around for nearly two decades.
Sometimes referred to as Microsoft Points, Rewards are essentially a digital currency issued by Microsoft for use on its products.
Part of Microsoft Rewards (and perhaps the most popular) is Xbox Rewards.
HOW DOES XBOX REWARDS WORK?
The program lets users earn points when buying games, playing games, or completing quests.
These points can then be used towards rewards, for purchases, or for trades.
More specifically, you can exchange points for gift cards and to purchase movies, apps, or xbox games.
You can also use them towards Microsoft subscriptions (like Xbox Game Pass) and sweepstakes entries.
It’s now easier to join, earn, and redeem points with Rewards, and much easier to use on your Xbox console and apps (available in select markets).
HOW TO EARN POINTS
How many points you get depends on which “level” you have reached in the rewards program.
If you’re at Level 1, you will earn 1 point per $1 spent. On Level 2, you can earn 10 points per $1 spent.
Meanwhile, on Level 3, you can get up to 20 points per dollar spent on qualifying digital purchases at the Microsoft Store.
All members start at Level 1 when they first join. To move up, you need to reach a certain amount of points each month.
Game Pass Ultimate and Console plan members can earn Microsoft Rewards points by playing games from the Game Pass catalog.
Within those games, you can sift through “current Quests” to participate in and complete.
If you successful complete a Quest, you receive points that can be used on the Xbox mobile app.
