‘Well done both of you for your jive at the Champions of Tomorrow competition, held at the Winter Gardens.

‘I’ve seen your viral video and I think you are both marvellous! Absolutely fantastic. I saw amazing technique, beautiful energy, but most importantly a gleaming smile on both of your faces.

‘I’d for sure have given you both a 10! Take care and keep dancing always! Love you!’

A delighted Nathan hugged Jo happily after the surprise as she gushed: ‘Well done you! A 10 from Shirley, that’s a pretty epic feat!’

It’s not the first time that Nathan and Jo have gone viral online, after the pair won millions of fans last year following their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent.

Alesha Dixon surprised him by visiting his dance studio to ask if he’d like to audition for the show.

The duo agreed and performed an incredible Cha-cha-cha to Shakira‘s Try Everything, receiving four enormous yeses.

Fans of the show were just as delighted with his sassy personality as they were with his audition as his moment unfolded on screen.

The pair made it all the way to the semi-finals and narrowly missed out on a place in the final to singer Olivia Lynes and eventual winner Viggo Venn.

Simon Cowell praised Nathan, saying: ‘You know the expression you were born to perform? That is you. That is where you belong, on the stage.

‘Your interaction with the audience, everyone was having the best time. You were having a great time, we were having a great time, and your partner was having a great time.

‘And not a shred of nerves. Brilliant, brilliant and brilliant that is how you define joy.’

Dance teacher Joanne has shed light on their partnership, revealing: ‘Nathan and I met in around 2019 at the dance school I teach at.

‘You always hope and have wonderful dreams and I know how lovely Nathan is and have infectious his personality is and wonderful he is to work with and dance wit.

‘But to be given an opportunity to show it to the nation and to see all the lovely comments of what people think of how we come across and how much you enjoy it has just been a dream come true.’

She added: ‘I think I’ve got a second family, we’ve sort of twinned haven’t we, Nathan’s parents are so supportive of his dancing.’
