Travis Barker jetted out of Sydney without his wife Kourtney Kardashian on Wednesday to join his blink-182 bandmates in Perth.

The drummer, 48, first touched down in Sydney on Tuesday with his wife Kourtney, 44, and their newborn baby boy Rocky, three months, for the blink-182 tour.

Ahead of a jam-packed touring schedule, Travis has jetted off to Perth for the band’s first string of gigs, while Kourtney has seemingly stayed in Sydney with the kids.

Arriving at the airport, Travis kept it low-key in a black hoodie and wide-leg trousers, which he styled with a satin jacket featuring personalised patches and badges.

Flanked by security, he walked into the airport with his hood up and clutched his phone and headphones in one hand as he got ready for the five-hour flight.

Travis, Kourtney and Rocky have been joined for their Australian trip by Kourtney’s two children – daughter Penelope, 11, and son Reign, nine – who she shares with her ex Scott Disick

Her eldest son Mason, 13, did not appear to have joined his mother and siblings.

American pop-punk band blink-182, consisting of Travis, Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus, have returned to Australia for the first time in seven years for their epic world tour.

They will be kicking off their Australian leg of the tour on February 8 and will perform at a string of venues across Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The band will start their run of shows at Perth’s RAC Arena on Thursday and will close their Australian tour on February 29 at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.

Kourtney has joined Travis for the visit Down Under, which also marks her first time in Australia since 2013, when she and sisters Khloe and Kim brought over the Kardashian Kollection.

The visit is also Kourtney and Travis’ first big international trip with their baby boy Rocky, who was born on November 1.

The trio were spotted leaving Sydney airport and heading to their chauffeured car on Tuesday accompanied by Kourtney’s kids Penelope and Reign.

The reality star was every inch the doting mother as she protected the couple’s bundle of joy from the rain in a cashmere baby blanket on his first visit to Australia.

blink-182 last toured Down Under in 2013, but Travis did not join the band due to his fear of flying, which stemmed from being a passenger in a fatal plane crash in 2008.

Brooks Wackerman, of Bad Religion and Avenged Sevenfold, filled in on the sticks.

Travis has credited ‘the power of love’ from his wife Kourtney for helping him overcome his fear of flying.

He said his partner had ‘healed’ him and his children following the crash in South Carolina 15 years ago, in which he was one of only two survivors.

Speaking to the LA Times, he said: ‘I think the power of love really helped me. Kourt made it so I fly, my kids fly now. She healed us.

‘It takes a little piece of my life every time I fly. The amount of stress and anxiety it causes is just unbearable. It brings up all this old trauma, and sometimes I’m like, ‘Is this worth it?’

‘But I don’t like anything having a hold on me, either — I don’t like being afraid, and I don’t like having things from my past control my future.’

Travis shares children Alabama, 17, and Landon, 20, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, he is stepfather to Shanna’s daughter Atiana de la Hoya, 24.

On flights, Travis puts on noise-canceling headphones so he ‘cannot hear the landing gear retract’, listens to guided recordings from an energy healer and prays for loved ones he has lost.

In August 2021, Travis successfully took his first ride on an airplane for the first time in 13 years when he jetted to Cabo San Lucas with Kourtney.

In September 2008, Travis boarded a private jet in South Carolina to head to Los Angeles following a show, while accompanied by his friend Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein, his security guard Charles ‘Che’ Still, and his assistant Chris Baker.

As the small plane was attempting to take off, one of the tires suffered a blow out, causing the craft to overshoot the runway, burst through the airport’s fence and over the nearby highway, and finally crash into the embankment on the side of the road.

The pilot, Sarah Lemmon, and the co-pilot, James Bland, were killed within minutes from smoke inhalation and burns as the plane erupted into flames on impact, according to the Chicago Tribune. Still and Baker were also killed on impact.

Travis had third-degree burns over 65 percent of his body and had to spend three months in the hospital while having skin grafts and 26 surgeries to repair the damage.

After the crash, Travis was overcome with a debilitating fear even at the sight of an airplane.
