Lauren Phillips manages to save her radio career as her KIIS FM Melbourne show is picked up by Nova 100 after she and co-host Jase Hawkins were axed to make way for Kyle and Jackie O in Melbourne
Lauren Phillips and Jase Hawkins’ radio careers have been saved after they were brutally dumped from Melbourne‘s KIIS FM last year.
The radio duo, who were replaced by Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson amid their historic $200million 10-year radio expansion to the Victorian capital, have been picked up by Nova 100 as part of a new breakfast lineup.
Nova Entertainment announced on Friday that the broadcasters will make the jump, replacing their network’s current breakfast show team Ben Harvey, Liam Stapleton and Belle Jackson.
‘I’m beyond excited to be joining the Nova family,’ Lauren said in a statement.
‘I’ve been a longtime fan of the station and to be joining Nova 100 really is a dream come true.’

She added: ‘I’ve made the most of having a few months off, but my plans of becoming a professional dog walker are now on hold, and I’m so ready to get back to work with Jase here in Melbourne.’
Meanwhile, Jase said: ‘I’m wrapped to have a job again. I’m even more over the moon that we get to join Nova.’
‘My whole career, I have always wanted to be a part of this network, it’s the perfect fit for Loz and I. So, I’m sorry Nova, we’re never leaving,’ he added.
‘Melbourne, we’re back! So join us and come over to Nova.’
