Mark Wahlberg looked as if he had just stepped out of one of his iconic early-’90s Calvin Klein ads in a new thirst trap.

The 52-year-old actor — who went shirtless in a similar post from a few weeks ago — took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video from one of his grueling ‘4 am club’ workouts.

He gave his millions of Instagram followers a thrill as he lifted his Municipal brand shirt to showcase his washboard abs. 

The Boogie Nights star looked remarkably ripped and had impressively defined abdominal muscles that were barely distinguishable from the early days of his whirlwind career.

Although the Calvin Klein ads helped Mark secure a film career, he has admitted that he regretted them in more recent years.

In his latest clip, Mark made sure fans knew that he doesn’t skip leg day as he performed all kinds of workouts including leg presses, barbell split squats, leg extensions, deadlifts, and wall squats. 

He was not alone as he worked out with some friends who struggled keeping up with their famous pal. 

The group finished off the tough workout by cooling down in an ice bath.

Mark poked fun at his friends as he captioned the video: ‘My buddies thought the 4 am club was too easy [laughing while crying emoji] @municipal [fire, stock going up, and 100 emojis]’ 

While it may have seemed like an early workout to many, it was later than usual for Mark, who previously offered up a very detailed breakdown of his day, beginning at 2:30am and ending at 7:30pm. 

On the former rapper’s check list were two major workouts that lasted more than an hour, two showers, snacks and meals, a cryo chamber recovery, golf and business meetings, in a routine that has baffled his fans.

He revealed it all begin sat 2:30am when his alarm goes off. Next it’s a prayer session. Then the action star has breakfast at 3:15am, his first meal of many throughout the day.

He previously told Men’s Health that he likes to start his day with egg whites, sprouted-grain Ezekiel bread, almond butter and avocado.

From 3:40am until 5:15am he has a serious workout session that includes weight lifting. 

Mark’s 10 million Instagram followers will already know about his early workouts as he often shares videos of his gym sessions under the hashtag #4amclub.

At 5:30am it’s a workout meal and then a shower at 6am, which bizarrely appears to last for 90 minutes.

By 7:30am the Shooter actor is playing golf, which could be considered another workout, but only for 30 minutes as a snack follows at 8 am.

Next it’s a cryo chamber session. 

Mark previously told Ellen DeGeneres about the benefits of cryotherapy, saying: ‘It is great for recovery, and it just takes all the inflammation out of your body [and] it helps you sleep.’

At 10:30am, when most people in Hollywood are just getting to work, Mark eats again then he takes business calls. 

He also has family time, which must be challenging as all his kids are in school at this point.

At 2pm he has more meetings and work calls. At 3pm he picks up his kids at school then has another snack.

At 4pm it’s time for his second workout of the day. It lasts until 5pm at which point he takes a shower.

Dinner and family time comes at 5:30pm and then at 7:30pm he goes to sleep.

However, in 2022 Mark revealed he’d made some tweaks to his schedule, sharing his new, ‘dialed-down’ daily regime that involves sleeping in — until just 3.30am.

The A-lister added he is no longer eating oats, peanut butter, blueberries and eggs for breakfast instead fasting for 18 hours a day.
