Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi looked every inch the happy couple as they enjoyed some retail therapy in New York City on Sunday.

The Stranger Things star, 19, and her fiancé, 21, the son of music icon Jon Bon Jovi, were all smiles as they waved their arms in the air while on a shopping spree.

The Enola Holmes actress and Jake carried bags from denim brand Madewell and upscale shoe designer Stuart Weitzman.

Millie wore a knit multi-colour scarf and flared navy trousers, teamed with cosy trainers.

She wrapped up in a dark green quilted jacket and carried a brown crossbody saddle bag.

The Netflix star accessorised with chic black shades and gold dainty earrings. 

Jake rocked an orange quilted jacket and sage cargo trousers with trainers, while sporting a backwards blue baseball cap.

The couple’s appearance comes after Jake’s father, legendary musician Jon Bon Jovi, confirmed he will be performing at their upcoming wedding.

The rocker, 61, exclusively told DailyMail.com he intends to hit the stage at his son’s wedding.

When asked on the red carpet of the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year gala if he would be performing at the nuptials, he told DailyMail.com: ‘Yes!’

Millie announced in April 2023 that she was engaged to Jake – the son of rock star Jon and his wife Dorothea Hurley – after two years of dating. 

Recently she revealed her fiancé is ‘very involved’ in their wedding plans, making it a stress-free affair for her.

While Millie has yet to confirm whether a date has been set for the ‘intimate’ ceremony, she spilled on the Today show in September that the couple are very much sharing the planning.

She said: ‘It’s not been stressful at all for me. Jake is very involved, he is very helpful during the whole process. I have never felt alone in it, which I think is nice.

‘I am like, “Is this a good idea?” But ultimately it’s a very intimate day for the both of us and we are excited.’

This isn’t the first time that Millie has expressed her excitement over her big day.

Speaking with Women’s Wear Daily in August, the star touched on her preference to keep the nuptials low-key.

‘I can say that the planning is going,’ she told the publication. ‘It’s so fun. And it’s such an exciting time in my life.

‘To have everyone’s opinions and eyes looking at that just feels unnatural to me,’ she said about wedding planning.

‘So I feel it’s important to keep those things — those small precious moments in life — really close to your chest.’

Millie and Jake announced their engagement on Instagram last year after two years of dating.

In August, she told the Sunday Times that he proposed with a ring belonging to her mother, Kelly.

‘I’ve always loved that ring, it’s always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake,’ Millie said.

‘They were in cahoots about the whole proposal. I love that I can always keep a piece of my mum with me.’

The couple met on Instagram and began dating in 2021, with Millie saying she knew instantly that Jake was ‘the one.’

She said: ‘I was interested in him and wanted to know more. As soon as we spoke I knew he was going to be a huge part of my life.

‘I ran to my mum and said, “I really, really like him!” After we met we knew we never wanted to leave each other’s side.’

She continued: ‘You can’t pinpoint why, it’s just the feeling of knowing that that’s the person you want to spend the rest of your time with.

‘I think so much of life is overthinking. The one thing that made clear sense to me was him. So I didn’t really have to do much thinking.’
