AS soon as we heard the news about a new flat-pack hero coming to the UK, we wanted to try it.
Easy Klix by Forte has just launched exclusively with John Lewis & Partners, and offers a 19-piece furniture collection that can all be built in just 30 minutes.
And we got our hands on their , which comes in three colourways (including our fave, sage green) to test it out.
We set DIY novice and our very own beauty assistant Mia Lyndon the challenge of building her coffee table, which costs £149, in just half an hour.
The Polish brand claims its designs can be built 10 times faster than others – including a huge three-door wardrobe that costs £499.
And it’s all thanks to the innovative click-together system.
Using Threespine ID technology, you can disassemble and rebuild the furniture multiple times, which makes the pieces perfect for first home buyers or those who are often moving house.
But could someone like Mia, who confesses she is “incapable of DIY” master her first furniture build?
The only thing Mia had built before this Fabulous challenge was a computer desk chair.
“I even had to FaceTime my Dad to do that and then it fell apart later anyway!” Mia explains.
So how easy did she find the Easy Klix coffee table to build?
“The instructions were really easy to follow and there are only around 24 screws in the entire kit, so all you need is a screwdriver and a bit of patience,” says Mia.
And although Mia may have not quite built it within the thirty minutes that Easy Klix claim it can be completed in – it took her almost an hour – she did manage to finish the job and was delighted with the results.
“I’ve got a chic and sturdy design that is also a bargain. I’d definitely recommend this range,” she says.
It looks like reigning flat-pack king IKEA may need to keep a close eye on this Polish rival
We predict a sellout.
