A HUGE BBC comedy is set to make a massive global return to TV screens.
A new version of The Kumars has been commissioned by the US network Fox with filming due to take place next month.

Filming for the pilot episode of the new format titled ‘Meet The Kumars’ is due to take place on the evening of March 13 at BBC Elstree Studios.
According to Deadline, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Meera Syal and Vincent Ebrahim will all reprise their roles from the original show.
They will be joined by Shaheen Khan who will play the role of Rani, Sandjeev’s new stepmother.
The description for the new series reads: “We all remember the Kumars and their only son Sanjeev’s dreams of being a famous chat show host.
“How his obliging parents bulldozed the garden at their modest family home to build him a TV studio and make his dreams come true, whilst also (along with his unconventional grandmother) insisting on embarrassing him in front of every guest.
“Yet over the years, the great and the good from the worlds of stage, screen and sport flocked to be on The Kumars’ show.
“And now, the mischievous family has returned! A little older, more experienced but none the wiser.”
According to the website for audience tickets, doors are open from 7pm and filming is due to end at approximately 9:45pm.
The comedy family was first seen in the BBC Two series, The Kumars At No. 42.
It ran on the publicly funded channel from 2001 for seven series until 2006.
It won two international Emmy Awaards in 2002 and 2003, as well as a Peabody award in 2004.
The hit characters later returned for a new series in 2014 titled The Kumars.
