WILKO shoppers are ecstatic at the return of a “famous” fan favourite.
The DIY giant’s own paint range has returned to stores in time for decorators to plan their summer project.
The paint had disappeared from shelves after the company went into administration last year.
But it is now selling on Wilko’s website for between £10 and £35 for 2.5L to 5L, but shoppers will now also be able to get it in store.
The budget chain sells all types of paint for use all over the home, including the lounge, bathroom and the outside of the house.
Wilko described the paint in a Facebook post as: “A cheap & easy way to brighten up your homes ahead of friends & family visiting this Easter!”
Fans of the paint were very happy that the product had now returned to shelves.
One said: “Used Wilko paint throughout my house and it’s fab.”
Another said: “My favourite paint. Kitchen cupboards, almost every wall and even the outdoor play stuff has a layer of the wilko stuff”
While a third said: “This makes me so happy, I love all the wilko DIY stuff. I’ve been struggling to get bargain DIY stuff thats actually any good.”
After Wilko was sold to The Range last year, its brand paint has also been available there.
Fans of the paint have shared their kitchen transformations using Wilko’s paint.
One DIY fan known as @OurlittleStanhope shared their transformation in a TikTok video.
They said: “Kitchen transformation. Crazy what a bit of Wilko cupboard paint & Amazon handles can do!”
Another fan of the paint transformed their garden shed.
Painter Jenny shared how she had given the tired structure an impressive glow-up with a £12 buy.
She said: “This is ‘coastal cliff’ by Wilko and took two coats to cover the black.”

Brits were left heartbroken when beloved Wilko announced it would be closing all of its shops after collapsing into administration last year.
After failing to find a buyer, 400 shops closed and thousands of staff lost their jobs.
But since December 2023, the Wilko name has officially been back on the high street after new stores opened their doors to customers.
Three old Wilko sites reopened and welcomed customers for the first time in December. These stores are located in:
- Unit A, Armada Centre, Mayflower Street, Plymouth – opened December 1
- Unit 100, Guildhall Shopping Centre, Exeter – opened December 1
- 141/147 Arndale Centre, Luton – opened December 8
Two further stores will open under the Wilko branding in the Spring too.
The opening date of the two newest stores, located in St Albans, (The Maltings) and Rotherham (Parkgate Shopping Park), has now been revealed.
