I turned a cupboard under the stairs into a gaming room, people say it’s ‘mean’

A WOMAN has divided opinion after showing how she turned her teeny cupboard under the stairs into a gaming room.

Charlotte explained that the computer was “taking up too much space in the front room“.

So, to try and hide it away as much as possible, her other half decided to make a new home for it.

“Turning our tiny under stairs cupboard into computer desk space,” she wrote over the top of the TikTok video.

In the clip, she showed the empty cupboard as it was before the transformation.

After attaching pieces of wood to each side of the cupboard, he put a long cut of wood across the middle – creating a desk in the process.

Charlotte then showed him enjoying his video game while sat in the tiny new desk space.

“I would absolutely LOVE to just shut my husband in a cupboard to play his games, this is a great idea,” one person commented on the video.

“100% best decision I’ve made,” Charlotte replied.

“Me currently staring at my cupboard that’s exactly the same wondering if I should do this so my boyfriend’s computer and screen are no longer on view in my living room,” another added.

“I was the exact same!” Charlotte responded.

“So glad we did it, it’s opened up so much space in the room and looks so much better hidden away!”

“My office is a cupboard. Made in lockdown. I have to climb up into it,” someone else wrote.

“Most under the stairs is full of junk , this is perfect,” another added.

“That’s awesome,” someone else praised, adding: “But I bet it gets so hot in there!”

“We were worried that it would get too hot but it’s actually been okay so far,” Charlotte said.

“He’s got a fan underneath the desk too just in case.”

But not everyone was convinced that the cupboard makeover was the perfect place for the desk.

“I don’t want to sound mean, but doesn’t he deserve a corner in a room if there is no spare room?” one wrote.

“This is creative but it feels like he is punished!”

“His computer was in front of the cupboard on a desk,” Charlotte said.

“However we thought it would be cool to put it in the cupboard to create more space.”

“This is so sad,” someone else raged.

To which Charlotte said: “Omg this was HIS idea too and he’s really happy with it!”

But another commented: “Mrs said take your pc s**e out the house and then you compromised on the cupboard, whipped.”
