Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler, 21, smolders in a Miu Miu tube top for Teen Vogue cover as she talks growing up in the spotlight

Maddie Ziegler looked radiant and youthful as she graced the cover of Teen Vogue New Hollywood edition.

The Dance Moms star smoldered for the camera while rocking a mustard colored Miu Miu strapless top with a long matching skirt. 

Her short brown hair sat on her shoulders as she showed off her collarbone and natural makeup look.

Ziegler — who began appearing on TV at the age of nine — spoke about growing up in the public eye.

‘It is scary to have people have such strong opinions on you and to feel like they know you. But there is something so beautiful about that too,’ she told the outlet.

Dance Moms premiered on Lifetime in 2011 and followed the elite youth dance team at Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

It also spotlights the complicated dynamic between dance instructor Abby Lee Miller, her pupils and their over-the-top moms.

Ziegler appeared on the show with her younger sister Mackenzie Ziegler, now 19, and mother Melissa Gisoni.

Ziegler was portrayed as Miller’s ‘favorite,’ with the other moms often accusing Miller of giving the young girl special treatment — the source of most if not all of the on-air spats.

Ziegler, her sister and her mother left the show in season six and she previously revealed that she no longer speaks to Miller despite the bond they shared.

She also has confessed to ‘blocking out’ that part of her childhood. 

Now 21, Ziegler told Teen Vogue that she has finally found a sense of self after navigating the world as a child star.

The brunette beauty has left dance behind and is now a working actress. 

‘Acting gives me the creative freedom to jump into different things, but it also helps me protect my own being,’ she explained.

Having been publicly raised in an environment where she was the standard and could not be rebellious, the star is now relearning boundaries.

‘I’m growing up, and it is liberating to know that I can speak up for myself,’ she said. 

After moving on from that environment, the 21 year-old still feels that youthful spark as she carries it with her even now.

‘I’m still that same goofy, loving, hard-working girl, but I’m also changing and growing. It’s scary when people are like, ‘But you’re not who you were when you were younger.’ And I have to explain, ‘Yeah, because that’s just not realistic.” 

The reality show alum shared the spotlight with various famous faced including Barbie’s Ariana Greenblatt and The Summer I Turned Pretty’s Christopher Briney. 

The concept of this edition takes each personality and spins each into a different type of artist. 

Briney, 25, poses as he spins and shapes pottery with his hands while opting for a jean jacket and shorts.

Greenblatt, 16, was photographed upcycling materials to create a new piece as she was styled in an unbuttoned orange shirt and black bandeau. 

Ziegler is set to star in My Old A** which is set for release in August of this year where she plays the character of Ruthie. 

The film stars Maisy Stella as she plays a small town Canadian teenager in her last month of summer before heading off to college when she and her pals go wild.

‘I feel like the characters lived within us,’ the cover girl said, ‘We were able to go home and be ourselves but the characters were still part of us.’
