Laura Woods heading up star-studded TNT Sports coverage of Fury vs Usyk

Fury and Usyk face off in the first undisputed heavyweight bout since 1999 and the monumental occasion requires a big team to bring the coverage to fans at home.

And those who aren’t making the mammoth trip out to Saudi Arabia won’t be disappointed with Woods presenting the broadcast alongside former WBA world champion David Haye.

The Hayemaker will also be joined by two-weight world champion Carl Frampton and boxing expert Steve Bunce.

It’s not just the presenting team where fans can expect to be impressed by the big names either.

Former boxing star Richie Woodhall will join TNT Sports‘ lead commentator Darren Fletcher on the commentary for the blockbuster event.

Like Woods, fans will be more used to hearing Fletcher bring coverage of the Premier League and Champions League on TNT Sports.

But both have had experience bringing boxing to the public’s TV screens in the past.

Coverage of the event is set to begin at 5pm with the ring walks for the main event expected to take place around 11pm.

Ultimate sports presenters rich list

TV sports presenters make a mint.

The biggest and best are signed up on yearly deals with the likes of the BBC, ITV and Sky for your viewing pleasure.

Laura Woods is dominating the media landscape at the moment, leading TNT Sports’ coverage and ITV’s.

Alex Scott and Jermaine Jenas are two of the fresher faces for the BBC’s sporting output.

Then, it’s the old guard of Gary Lineker and Mark Chapman who also command hefty fees for their Match of the Day programmes.

SunSport has taken a look at how those big names rank and compiled a list of the top 10 highest earning stars that grace our TV screens.

With number one earning a whopping £29.4million more than number 10!

There will be plenty of action on the undercard to keep fans entertained though with two other championship fights taking place before Fury and Usyk step into the ring.

Jai Opetaia and Mairis Briedis will compete for the vacant IBF cruiserweight title.

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk undisputed fight immortalised with ultra-rare watch – but only three will ever be made

While Joe Cordina and Anthony Cacace will face off for the IBF super-featherweight title.

But all eyes will be on the main event when Fury and Usyk finally do battle after seeing their highly anticipated fight delayed TWICE.

The Gyspy King pushed back the fight from its initial date after he was roughed up more than expected during his bout with Francis Ngannou last year.

While a second delay occurred after Fury suffered a huge gash above his eye during a sparring session.
