Injuries & suspensions update for GW35 – latest on Bukayo Saka and others

DREAM TEAM brings you all the latest injury, suspension and availability news ahead of Gameweek 35 in one easily digestible dose.

Takehiro Tomiyasu was absent from Arsenal training on Thursday and must therefore be considered a doubt ahead of Sunday’s match at Old Trafford.

Bukayo Saka was pictured with heavy strapping although the Gunners’ winger is accustomed to playing through niggles.

Mikel Arteta did name his No7 when listing possible doubts but the England international rarely misses out if even half fit.

As for the Red Devils, Bruno Fernandes resumed training this week after a rare absence last time out.

The Portuguese midfielder, who features in 17.8% of Dream Teams, is therefore in contention to play.

Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay also have a chance having returned to training but Luke Shaw has suffered a setback on his road to recovery – Mason Mount is also out.

Emi Martinez returned for Aston Villa for the second leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final and is therefore in line to start against Liverpool on Monday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s press conference was light on team news but, based on previous comments, there’s an outside of chance of Diogo Jota being involved in some capacity.

Reece James is expected to be included in Chelsea’s matchday squad at the very least having resumed full training after his lengthy lay-off.

The same is true for Lesley Ugochukwu while Malo Gusto, Raheem Sterling, Thiago Silva and Christopher Nkunku all returned against West Ham last weekend to ease the Blues’ injury troubles.

Joao Pedro is a doubt for Brighton’s trip to Newcastle having injured his ankle in training today.

It’s unclear whether the 20-goal striker will travel with the Seagulls to St James’ Park.

As for the host, Eddie Howe revealed: “Kieran [Trippier] is getting closer, he has trained this week.”

A late decision will be made on the right-back while Nick Pope may be given a start having returned to the bench against Burnley.

Luton will be boosted by the return of Chiedozie Ogbene as they seek to avoid relegation back to the Championship.

The Hatters travel to West Ham, who will once again be without centre-backs Nayef Aguerd and Konstantinos Mavropanos.

In brighter news for the Hammers, David Moyes told reporters: “Lucas Paqueta seems okay and has trained for most of the week.”

Pep Guardiola has a fully fit squad to choose from as Manchester City hope to take another step towards the defence of their Premier League title against Fulham on Saturday.

Lloyd Kelly, Marcus Tavernier and Tyler Adams are all available for Bournemouth after their recent setbacks but Ryan Fredericks, Luis Sinisterra and Chris Mepham remain sidelined.

Milos Kerkez will serve the last of his three-game ban for the Cherries.
