20 of the best villas in Portugal (from £27 per person a night)

Portugal is one of the most affordable European holiday destinations — ranked number five in the world for value in this year’s Post Office Travel Money holiday report.

So it makes a great choice for a price-conscious getaway, and one way to keep costs down even further is to book a villa.

While villa prices in Italy and France have rocketed, a week’s rental in Portugal can be reasonable especially in terms of cost per person. Here’s our insider’s guide to 20 of the top spots this summer.
