In a video on social media, he said: “It’s a lot of emotions, many years where I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club which allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure, to grow as a player of course by being alongside some of the best in history, some of the greatest champions.

“To meet a lot of people, to grow as a man as well with all the glory and mistakes I’ve made.”

He went on to thank his team-mates and coaches, singling out Unai Emery, Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Christophe Galtier and Luis Enrique.

The 25-year-old also thanked sporting directors Leonardo and Luis Campos as well as staff members behind the scenes.

However, there was no mention of Al-Khelaifi.

The PSG president approached Mbappe before Sunday’s Ligue 1 match against Toulouse to question why he didn’t receive a compliment.

And according to Le Parisien, the situation became “increasingly tense” before they clashed.

A witness claimed “the walls shook” during the intense exchange.

It subsequently resulted in a four-minute delay to PSG’s warm-up.

The report also claims the two had barely spoken after Mbappe informed Al-Khelaifi that he would be leaving.

While his next move is yet to be officially confirmed, the forward is set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

He is expected to accept a huge wage cut in order to complete the move.
