The Brazilian previously clashed online with Ferdinand after of Manchester United‘s away win at Villa Park earlier in the season.

And the 26-year-old again fired aim at the ex-Red Devils star after finding out Villa have qualified for the Champions League.

After Spurs’ Tuesday night defeat, Luiz tweeted: “I just came here to find out if @rioferdy5 is okay?”.

Luiz was mocked by Ferdinand for his celebration in February before Scott McTominay‘s late winner as the midfielder danced in front of Raphael Varane.

But the Villa star then used City’s win to get one over the TV pundit as Unai Emery‘s side reached the Champions League at the expense of Tottenham, Man Utd and Chelsea.

Villa fans immediately reacted to the post as well as Ferdinand who responded with a simple but hilarious response.

The 45-year-old replied with, “Congrats @dgoficial… Champions League football thoroughly deserved next season” followed by a pic of him holding the European title he won at United after they beat Chelsea in 2008.

While Emery’s squad have secured their spot amongst Europe’s elite this is doubt about how far they will go in the tournament.
