Angelina DiNota raved about her new beauty favorite in an interview with The U.S. Sun.

Though she normally is good about sticking to her skincare regimen, she explained that she tends to be more lax while on vacation.

“Whenever I travel, I never do my proper skin routine, which is a major shame on me,” she said with a laugh.

A recent vacation left her feeling refreshed but her skin, a mess.

“I got back from a trip to Charleston, South Carolina, and my face was completely disheveled. I didn’t feel like myself and knew I needed to find something that would give me a fix,” she said.

In her desperate time of need, DiNota turned to Murad’s $45 Deep Relief Acne Treatment with Salicylic Acid.

The serum claims to clear and soothe painful blemishes as well as reduce redness.

As someone with frequent breakouts and as a fan of the brand, she said she’d heard only good things about the treatment and decided to give it a shot.

“I’ve used Murad products before, specifically the Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment,” she said.

“I had heard excellent reviews about the Deep Relief Acne Treatment, and I was willing to give it a try knowing the success I had with previous products.”

My mom is a witch – her natural ‘sludge’ mask treats my acne, it’s only 2 ingredients and tastes good too

While she anticipated good results, DiNota was shocked by just how well, and how quickly, the serum took to work.

“I start to notice a difference in the first couple days of using it,” she said.

“I apply a thin layer on my face before moisturizing both in the morning and at night.”

After a month of use, all her acne had practically vanished, leaving her with scarring in its wake.

How does salicylic acid help acne?

According to The American Academy of Dermatology Association, salicylic acid helps speed up the breakdown of dead skin cells.

In the process, the ingredient opens up clogged pores and gently exfoliates the skin. It helps clear pores from debris that can lead to unwanted pimples.

Salicylic acid is also an effective oil suppressant, helping reduce oil production, which can lead to more acne.

“I’ve seen a world of a difference and don’t remember the last time my face was this clear of acne,” she said.

DiNota joked that now she’d found her holy grail acne treatment, she was only missing one thing.

“Now I’m in desperate need of finding a dark spot corrector to get rid of my scars,” she said.

Like DiNota, Sephora shoppers raved about the serum’s effectiveness.

“This stuff is magic! My son had a really bad acne breakout. He applied it morning and night, and within days all of his pimples were gone!” said one.

A woman with cystic acne said the treatment was “life-changing.”

“I have had hormonal and cystic acne my entire life. I got a hysterectomy at 22 recently and it has made my acne worse,” she said.

“I’ve tried almost every acne product at Sephora, dermatologist prescribed, facials, acne medication, etc. nothing has helped EXCEPT THIS. I swear it has 5 stars for a reason. This is life changing.”
