Abi, 22, Louise, 44, Chris, also 44, and Brin, 29, battled it out in the kitchen to try and impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

However Leeds lass Abi failed to make a lasting impression on the pair.

Many flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain about their choice.

One said on the social media platform: “Gutted for Abi – you’re a winner in my eyes!!”

Another added: “Fallen at the final hurdle. Really thought it was hers to take #Masterchef.”

A third chimed in: “Aaawwww!! PoorAbbie #Masterchef.”

John told the four semi-finalists: “Two of you today have been absolutely exceptional.

“Chris, Brin. Congratulations. You’re through to the final.”

Abi and Louise, one of you is going through to the final, one of you is leaving us.

The contestant leaving us… is Abi.

MasterChef’s John Torode forced to check-in on contestant as she breaks down in tears as judge’s make brutal remark

“Abi than you its been an incredible journey for you.”

Gregg added: “I would really really like to see what happens with you next because you are an amazing talent for somebody so young.

“”Well done.”

Abi said to camera: “Obliviously a little gutting to be going home at this stage, so close but the whole competition has been challenge from start to finish.

“I’m definitely really proud of what I’ve achieved.

Earlier on in the episode fans pointed out the same thing.

The four finalists were tasked with each preparing a dish to cook for Michel Roux Jr.’s guests.

Many took to X to say that circus performer Chris’ main course – poach and roasted spiced duck breast served with crispy duck leg.

“#Masterchef I don’t think that duck’s even dead,” one wrote.

Another tweeted: “That duck is f*cking RAW #Masterchef.”

“Could get that duck up and walking again if he was serving this course #MasterChefUK #Masterchef,” a third joked.

Brin also had the same comments from those watching at home.

Towards the end of the episode Brin’s South American inspired dish dedicated to his fiance Anna consisted of pan-fried fillet of beef coated in Colombian coffee.

One said on X: “That beef is too pink! Needs to be cooked more! @MasterChefUK #MasterChefUK #MasterChef.”

“That steak is still mooing,” another added.
