ENGLAND fans were fuming after Dani Olmo avoided red for clattering Declan Rice.
The Spain midfielder completely missed the ball and sent his studs into Rice‘s hip.
It was a very poor challenge but referee Francois Letexier decided it was only worth a yellow card despite one fan branding it a “GBH attack.”
Rice pleaded his case by lifting up his shirt to show the damage but to no avail.
One fan posted: “Shouldn’t that be a red card?!?! That’s clearly on top of Rice thigh?!?!”
“That is kinda career ending though literal stamp on Rice,” replied another.

A third added: “This Dani Olmo tackle on Rice is a clear red card tackle. Poor officiating.”
England and Spain played out a nervous first half with just one shot on target apiece.
Aside from the Olmo foul, the main incident of note was Dani Carvajal trolling Bukayo Saka.
The Spanish defender gestured that the winger was “whinging” after fouling him.
