Plot twist! Fans who tuned in to the season 8 finale of Bachelor in Paradise were treated to a surprise at first glance Zach Shallcrossseason of The Bachelor — Tahzjuan Hawkins.
“Tahzjuan is here to steal my husband,” says one of the season 27 contestants in the teaser, which was dropped by ABC on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Victoria Fullerwho revealed during Tuesday’s reunion that she is dating Greg Grippo after her broken engagement with Johnny DePhilippo, is also discussed. “She really loves him,” Victoria seemingly says of Tahzjuan.
“We don’t need another girl here!” explains another woman.
Bachelor Nation met Tahzjuan on Season 23 of The Bachelor. She was eliminated by Colton Underwood during week one. She then returned for seasons 6 and 7 of Bachelor in Paradise but stopped during the 2021 season. Fans may remember her frequent complaints about the heat in Mexico – and the storyline she connected with Tre Cooper‘s uncle before he plays it out with the Bachelorette alum on the beach.
Her first ABC bio read, “Tahzjuan grew up in Houston, but moved to Colorado with her mom, brother, and two dogs. She enjoys reading, outdoor concerts and shopping with her mother. Fun fact: she has a tattoo that says ‘I like bad ideas’.”
Elsewhere in the trailer, the women warned that the “claws would come out” because they all “like Zach.”
“It’s so hard to see other girls with him,” one contestant cries, while another gets emotional and admits, “I’m afraid he’s going to forget about him and me.”
Jesse Palmer rather teased Us weekly that Zach’s season will be less about the drama and more about the love affairs.
“It’s really all about the love story and the romance and a little less about the drama, I think,” the host said. U.S at the Bachelor in Paradise Tastemaker event in Hollywood earlier this month. “The women really like Zach. Zach is so emotionally mature and he’s a man who isn’t afraid to wear his emotion on his sleeve. He’s very, very intentional. This is by far the most emotional show I’ve hosted in the franchise.
As seen in the teaser, Season 27 will be full of tears.
“It will be emotionally charged, but that’s because everyone really wants this,” added Jesse. “It is a [totally] different vibe than me [ever] had been hosting one of the other shows. I think he’s doing a great job and I can’t wait for people to see his journey.”
The Bachelor returns to ABC on Monday, January 23 at 8 p.m. ET.
