Chris Hemsworth jokes about ‘disappointed’ children after failed boat trip

Family for ever! While Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky‘s whirlwind romance was always something special, their relationship continued to blossom after they welcomed their three children.

The Marvel star and model tied the knot in 2010 after dating for less than a year. Two years later, they became a family of three with the birth of their daughter, India, in May 2012.

Before welcoming their daughter, Pataky accompanied her husband on the red carpet for The AvengersUK premiere, where he gently rubbed her baby belly.

“She’s so proud of Chris and he’s proud of her,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “They’re a cute family already!”

Less than two years later, the family grew even more when they welcomed twins, Tristan and Sasha, in March 2014. Extraction actor noted that watching the motherhood of the Spanish-born mother made him fall in love with her even more deeply.

“Once we had kids, we were like, ‘We’re in it, this is it.’ Suddenly I appreciated my wife more, she came into her own a little bit when we had kids,” he said. WHO magazine. “She definitely keeps me healthy. I complain about things, she goes through with it.”

Amid the May 2020 coronavirus pandemic, Hemsworth shared that he had always struggled to balance his career with other things that were important to him.

“I probably spent 15 years in what felt like a marathon, a constant workload,” he told GQ Australia at the time. “So much of my energy is focused on that, and when I had kids at the same time, I’ve been constantly trying to find the balance. … For a while you think the kids don’t notice and then you realize they do.”

The Star Trek actor continued: “I definitely want to keep making movies that I’m proud of, but that can wait. What’s more important is that my kids are an age I don’t want to miss. And I’d hate to look back in 20 years and say, ‘Okay, let’s get to work as a parent,’ and I missed it all.”

The Aussie proved he could be successful at balancing work and family life after bringing Tristan on set to play a younger version of himself in July 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder.

Sasha and India also appear in other scenes in the film, with the big sister landing a few lines at the end of the film.
