After a few seconds, the gray areas slowly started to lift and after a quick rinse under the tap, the record looks shiny and like new again.

As the video speeds up, the household chore probably wouldn’t have lasted more than 30 seconds.

The video quickly caught the attention of the masses, with many wanting to try the lesser-known hack for themselves.

‘Wait what?? They’re not scratches??’ one commented, another said jokingly, “Tiktok’s daily reminder that my house isn’t really worn out, I’m subconsciously filthy.”

A third added, “When I do this tonight, these scratches have always driven me crazy!”

‘Never seen anything work so fast!’ another wrote.
