How pregnant Kaley Cuoco’s mother personalized a baby gift without knowing the name

Pregnant Kaley Cuocohis mother, Layne Ann Cuocohad to come up with a unique solution for a baby gift without knowing the name of her first grandchild.

“If no one knows her name, that is [your] mom goes to extremes LOL,” the Flight attendant star, 37, wrote via Instagram Story on Sunday, March 19, sharing a photo of the swaddle her mother had given her for her unborn child.

On the white blanket, adorned with an illustrated mane, the words “What’s her name” were italicized where a child’s name would normally be added.

Kaley and boyfriend Tom Pelphreywho confirmed their romance in May 2022 announced in October that they are expecting their first child.

“????The baby girl Pelphrey is due in 2023???? more than blessed and in the clouds… I ????you @tommypelphrey!!!,” the big bang theory alum wrote via Instagram at the time, sharing snaps from a sex reveal party.

Kaley and Pelphrey, 40, have been in nest bliss ever since as they prepare for the arrival of their daughter, whom they celebrated at a baby shower in January.

“We called it a party,” her longtime stylist, Brad Goreskitold exclusively Us weekly later that month, gushing over the “epic” celebration, which featured a drone display, dance, and a four-tier cake. “It was amazing. I remember pulling up to her house and asking, ‘What’s that? Is that a big tent over there?’ I went and I was like, ‘Kaley, what are you doing?’ She said, ‘You’re not even ready for this.’”

Goreski, 45, continued at the time: “It was magical. It was unbelievable. It was so beautiful… She is so ready and she will be the best mother. She’s just a good person to her core.”

The Meet Cute star – who was previously married Ryan Sweeting And Charles Cookrespectively – and the Ozark alum are ready to meet their baby girl later this year, but don’t pressure her to follow in their acting footsteps. “She can be whatever she wants to be,” Pelphrey told me exclusively Us in October 2022.

While the two Emmy Award nominees announced their romance late last year, they first got in touch through their talent manager.

“This is a whole Hollywood story I know,” Kaley confessed during a September 2022 performance The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. “My manager put in several clients and asked me if I knew who Tom was, and she says, ‘Side note, he’s single.’ So the months had passed and we had never met, and I promoted Flight attendant with that same manager, who is his manager. [She asked,] ‘I’m going to the Ozark premiere. Do you want to come with me?’ I got all dressed up and I stood there. I was in the bathroom and I was waiting and I hear this voice – it was Tom – and he says ‘Where is this Kaley?’”
