Jay Leno, 72, seen sitting behind the wheel of his car unharmed after breaking his collarbone

Comedian Jay Leno appeared unharmed behind the wheel of his car just weeks after breaking his collarbone in a motorcycle accident.

Leno, 72, broke his collarbone, two ribs and broke both kneecaps on Jan. 17 while riding his vintage motorcycle in Las Vegas.

The former talk show host was “on a leash” as he pulled into a parking lot and was swept away by a piece of wire stretched across the roadway without a sign on it.

The accident comes months after Leno suffered devastating facial burns after a vintage steam car engine he was working on exploded.

And to add salt to the wound, his car show Jay Leno’s Garage was canceled on CNBC, as the channel recently shifted its show schedule to focus on primetime shows like Shark Tank and Undercover Boss.

Despite his run of bad luck, the actor looked more than happy and completely unscathed Friday morning as he pulled into his warehouse in Burbank, California.

Speaking to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he admitted that he was “okay” after his motorcycle incident and was “working this weekend.”

As for how the accident happened, he explained, “I turned onto a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, a man had stretched a wire across the parking lot, but it had no flag hanging from it.

“So, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clotheslined me and, boom, knocked me off the bike. The bike went on and on, and you know how that works out.”

The crash was Leno’s second vehicle accident in recent months, as he suffered burns when a steam engine exploded in his face in November.

The iconic TV host and his friend Dave Killackey were working on one of his beloved vintage cars at his LA mansion on Nov. 12 when his 1907 White Steam Car went up in flames.

Leno credits his friend Killackey for saving his life. Killackey sprang into action, wrapping his arms around Leno to smother the fire.

Leno was rushed to the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital in LA where he was treated for third-degree burns and was treated for 10 days.

Leno described that incident in an earlier interview, saying, “The fuel line was clogged, so I was under it. It sounded clogged and I said, “Blow some air through the line,” and he did.

And suddenly, boom, I got a face full of gas. And then the pilot light exploded and my face caught fire.”

Shocking photos of Leno’s injuries from the explosion show that his face was covered in excruciating burns – and his entire face had to be wrapped in bandages.

Dr. Peter Grossman told NBC News that Leno suffered “relatively severe” burns to “about seven percent of his body,” including his face, chest and hands.

Jay Leno’s Garage, which he has hosted since 2014, was canned this week.

The show – filmed at Jay Leno’s Big Dog Garage in Burbank – has been described as “a star-studded, action-packed exploration of all things automotive.”

The seventh and final season debuted in September 2022, though neither CNBC nor Leno have commented on the cancellation yet.
