Jennifer Aniston: Adam Sandler calls me out for my dating choices

Share his opinion! Jennifer Aniston revealed that friend Adam Sandler does not hold back his thoughts about her love life.

The Friends alum, 54, discussed her friendship with the comedian, 56, during an interview on Tuesday March 21 at The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. The California native noted that she and Sandler have known each other for over 30 years, having met in Los Angeles in their early 20s.

When host Jimmy Fallon asked if the duo have given each other career advice over the years, Aniston replied that they haven’t – but there is one area where her Murder Mystery Costar isn’t afraid to speak out.

“If I get anything from him, it’s, ‘What are you doing?!’ — usually based on someone I’m dating,” the Friends With Money joked the actress.

The Emmy winner didn’t specify who Sandler said that about, but her famous exes include Brad Pitt, Vincent Vaughan, John Mayer And Justin Theroux. Aniston has not been publicly linked to anyone since Theroux, 51, whom she married in 2015 after four years of dating. The dumpling star and the tropical thunder writer announced their divorce in February 2018, saying the “decision was made mutually and lovingly”.

Through all of her romantic ups and downs, Aniston’s friendship with Sandler has stood the test of time. “I knew I was going to be friends with her,” says de Big Daddy star told E! News in 2019, recalling the duo’s first meeting. “I didn’t know I was going to make movies with her. Neither of us knew that – we were young and didn’t have a job then.

The couple recently reunited for Murder mystery 2which debuts on Netflix on Friday, March 24. During filming, Aniston tried to get Sandler to practice self-care, but somewhat resisted her efforts.

“I really enjoy taking care of him,” says de Polly came along star told Fallon, 48. “He’s so concerned about taking care of everyone, which he really does, and he’s not taking care of himself.”

The Golden Globe winner went on to say that she made him smoothies and tried to give him herbal remedies when he was “exhausted,” but nothing really took off. “Jackie said, ‘Thanks, it took about a minute,'” Aniston joked, referring to Sandler’s wife, Jackie Titoon. “I’m like the mobile pharmacy. I’m the regular medic.’

The Horrible bosses actress also always poked fun at Sandler’s affinity for casual wear, noting that he put in a little more effort when he was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor earlier this month.

“He was wearing a suit. He never wears a suit!” Aniston marveled. “It’s weird because he looks like he’s just playing dress-up. And he just seems really uncomfortable.
