The 77th edition of Madrid Fashion Week kicked off in the Spanish capital on Wednesday with a series of events at the IFEMA Exhibition Center and across the city.
During fashion week, IFEMA will feature catwalk shows by 42 of Spain’s most famous fashion designers, such as Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Andres Sarda, Paloma Suarez and Pedro del Hierro, all presenting their proposals for the fall and winter of 2023/2024 , reports Xinhua news agency.
Things kick off on Wednesday with the traditional off-catwalk displays, held in various emblematic areas of Madrid and seek to take fashion to the streets, promoting emerging designers and the image of the city and surrounding region.
Held at the city’s Royal Fabrics Factory on Tuesday evening, the event also provided an opportunity for 38 young designers from a university to present their collections to the public and to explore the future of Spanish fashion.
