‘Maitree’ star Shrenu Parikh shares her experience shooting with a baby on sets: “You can never predict a baby’s mood”
TV actress Shrenu Parikh, who plays the titular role in the show ‘Maitree’, shared her experience of shooting with a baby, Azima Shaikh, and how nervous Shrenu’s side was at first.
Shrenu said, “The baby who plays Nandini’s (Bhaweeka Chaudhary) son is actually a baby girl and when I heard that we were going to shoot with a baby, I got very nervous. We all know how difficult it is to deal with little babies and shooting them is a completely different task. You can never predict a baby’s mood, but surprisingly, Azima is a very calm child.”
Shrenu Parikh who is known for her roles in ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Name Doon?’ and ‘Ishqbaaaz’ further shared that she now enjoys working with Azima and also receives training to become a good mother while working with her.
She is only a 3 month old baby, but because I spend extra time with her, she recognizes me. She calms down easily every time I calm her down. She immediately responds to me by giving her most precious smile every time I call her ‘Shotuu’. In fact, her mother also feels very safe when Azima sits on my lap. And now, after Azima came into my life, I really feel that one day I can become a good mother,” added Shrenu Parikh.
The show is a reflection of true friendship and childhood bonds between two friends, Maitree and Nandini, who live in the town of Prayagraj, and how circumstances break their inseparable bond.
Shrenu Parikh, Bhaweeka Chaudharyand Namish Taneja play lead roles in the show.
