An expected foe is her former boss, ex-President Donald Trump, who is himself a candidate for the White House and announced a bid for 2024 in mid-November, right after the Republicans had a disappointing result in the midterm elections.

The spot uses a poem by Charles McKay, which claims “you have been a coward in battle” if you have not made enemies along the way. It also includes footage of some perceived US threats, including Chinese leader Xi Jinping (pictured)

It also shows some of her zingers.

‘I wear high heels. It’s not for a fashion statement. It’s because if I see something wrong, we’re going to kick them every time,” Haley says capriciously.

In another excerpt, she says, “America is the greatest force for good in human history, and we should never be ashamed to say so.”

Haley’s arrival marks Trump’s first real challenge in the 2024 Republican primary field.

She is expected to be joined by a number of other Trump administration officials, including former Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, both of whom are seemingly testing the waters.

Trump has spent most of his time attacking another potential 2024 GOP hopeful, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who consistently ranks No. 2 in polls, though he is still at least 10 points behind the former president.

South Carolina Senator Tim Scott is holding his own Charleston event Thursday, one day after Haley’s expected announcement.

He then heads to Iowa, the state hosting the nation’s first caucus — and an indication that he also intends to make a presidential bid.

Haley announced Wednesday that she will be heading to New Hampshire, the state that will hold the first GOP primary next year, in the days following her event in South Carolina.
