A naked woman caught running through the woods kicked a police officer’s testicles after he tried to cover her with his coat, a court has heard.
Andrea Wymer, 52, left PC Kieran Moran wincing in pain after she lashed out at him when he and colleagues arrested her.
During the incident, shortly before afternoon school, PC Moran, who was with a female colleague, had offered Wymer their blank coat in an effort to “maintain her dignity.”
But she refused and instead kicked out and caught the male officer in the groin as they restrained her.
Tests later showed that mud from Wymer’s bare feet was still on the crotch of PC Moran’s pants.

The 52-year-old, from Huyton near Liverpool, was suffering a medical episode when she was found running naked, a court heard. She is pictured outside Sefton Magistrates’ Court
Wymer, from Huyton, near Liverpool, is said to have suffered a ‘medical episode’ at the time of the crime.
At Sefton Magistrates’ Court, she was ordered to pay PC Moran £100 in damages after admitting to assaulting a counselor.
Michael O’Kane, prosecutor, said officers responded to reports of a naked woman in the Knowsley area of Merseyside at around 2.45pm on June 2 last year.
Mr O’Kane said the defendant ‘rejected’ an offer from PC Moran’s female colleague for a jacket to cover her, as the 52-year-old streaker tried to walk past other officers.
“She was stopped by the officers and told she would be detained,” Mr O’Kane told the court. At that point, she became enraged and resisted the officers’ attempts to restrain her. The incident was captured on a body-worn camera.
When the officers grabbed the defendant, she seemed to fall back. At that point, she kicked out and made contact with the officer’s groin area.
The officer confirms in his statement that the kick in his crotch caused him some pain. The groin area of his trousers was soiled by dirt on the defendant’s foot. She walked barefoot in a wooded area.
‘In relation to the guidelines, the defendant used her foot. However, there is a suggestion that there may be less guilt given the episode the defendant was suffering from at the time.”

Wymer, with no previous convictions, left Officer Kieran Moran wincing in pain after her barefoot kick to the groin. She was sentenced to 12 months community service

Wymer was also fined £50 and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge
Wymer had no prior convictions. Her lawyer Joseph Bleasedale said a mental health treatment plan would address the “underlying issues” that she had “never had help with before.”
He added: “She has since seen a psychiatrist and is now on medication for that. She came across as knowledgeable and personable today.’
District Judge James Hatton sentenced Wymer to 12 months community service with 20 days of rehabilitation and six months of mental health care. She was also fined £50 and required to pay a £95 victim surcharge.
“You pleaded at the earliest opportunity and you have no prior convictions,” Judge Hatton said. “I accept that there was obviously something going on that you were struggling with, but the officer didn’t deserve to be attacked in this way.”
Judge Hatton warned Wymer that she could be dragged back to court if she does not follow probation orders.
