Fans of the king of rock ‘n’ roll descended on his mansion in Memphis this weekend to say goodbye to his daughter.
Thousands are expected to attend Lisa Marie Presley’s public funeral on Sunday, with fans already lining up outside her father’s famed Graceland estate.
She will be buried on Sunday at the Memphis estate next to her father, Elvis, and her son Benjamin, who committed suicide in July 2020 at the age of 27.
Presley’s body will be displayed to the public during the celebration of life at the Graceland family estate, which will air at 9 a.m.
According to the New York Times, a procession is planned for fans to view her tombstone, where they can leave flowers or other gifts.
Among those who will be in attendance, right up front, are Lisa Marie’s daughter, actress Riley Keough, and her mother, Priscilla Presley.

Lisa Marie Presley went into cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas and died on January 12 at a Los Angeles hospital.
Her mother Priscilla, 77, was by her side and the family, when she was told she was brain dead, decided to sign a do not resuscitate order.
The LA County coroner announced Tuesday that it would defer the results of her official cause of death pending the results of a toxicology test — which could take years.
Lisa Marie’s gray marble sarcophagus now stands next to her burial site and is exactly the same as her son’s. Photos of the couple together have been placed in front of their monuments.
Benjamin’s resting place had to be moved slightly to accommodate his mother’s.
The plaque that will cover the grave is currently covered with a tarpaulin for protection as the fans take their seats for the service – which includes appearances by Alanis Morissette and Axl Rose.
Duchess Sarah Ferguson will also perform a Tribute to the Children, and both Priscilla and Riley will deliver eulogies.
Graceland’s 450-room hotel is now sold out for the event, Memphis Tourism CEO Kevin Kane told the Times, and hotels near the museum and Beale Street are “seeing a surge in last-minute reservations for the weekend.” ‘
A stage with a podium has been constructed in the forecourt for public service. Hundreds of chairs have been placed around it and screens have been placed around the cemetery.

Riley Keough landed in Memphis on Saturday night for the event.
Keough, 33, arrived on a private jet shortly after her grandmother Priscilla Presley and her former stepfather Michael Lockwood landed.

Lockwood was Lisa Marie’s fourth and final husband and the father of her 14-year-old twin daughters Harper and Finley.
Keough’s father is Lisa Marie’s first husband, actor Danny Keough, who remained close to the troubled star and lived with her at the time of her death, performing CPR until paramedics arrived.
She was accompanied by her husband, Australian stuntman Ben Smith-Peterson.
Dressed in sweatpants, with hair loose, Keough lit a cigarette outside the airport.
She was also found to be carrying a baby, although she has no children of her own.
It was the first time she had been seen since her mother’s sudden death.
Keough had previously posted a touching tribute to her mother on Instagram — the first time she acknowledged her death.
She posted a picture of her mom looking down at her admiringly like a little kid as she looked back with a soft smile on her face.
Presley’s eldest child simply captioned the heartbreaking post with a red heart.

Presley grew up fearing her own mortality after finding her father dead at age nine, which traumatized her.
She often spoke of her own death, even calling the backyard of the Graceland estate a “cemetery.”
“How many people have a family grave in their backyard? How many people are reminded every day of their fate, of their mortality? All the graves are lined up and there’s a place there waiting for me, right next to my grandmother,” she told Playboy in 2003.
Despite her fear, the singer believed she had many years to live.
Last Sunday, she told her friend David Kessler, who works as a grief counselor, that she had “so much to do.”
The pair were at the Graceland estate celebrating what would have been Elvis’ 88th birthday.
Presley, who rarely appeared in public since her son’s death, told the adoring crowd, “You’re the only people who can get me out of the house.”
She added, “I’m not kidding. I love you too and that’s why I’m here.’

Several of the Presleys also died of heart disease, including her own father, who died in 1977 at age 42 of a heart rhythm disorder with ventricular fibrillation — a condition in which the heart beats abnormally and then stops.
Her grandmother, Gladys Love Presley, died of heart failure at age 46, and her grandfather, Vernon Elvis Presley, died of cardiac arrest at age 63.
