They are so gorgeous! Taylor Swift And Joe Alwyn have kept their romance relatively private since their relationship began, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of milestones to look back on.
Swift’s relationship with the British resident was made public in May 2017. A year later, a source said Us weekly exclusive that the “Cardigan” singer believes Alywn is The One.
“She wants to get engaged to him,” the insider said. “She just doesn’t feel like she needs to impress anyone right now.”
That has revealed a separate source Us in early 2020 that the lovebirds have “talked about their future and marriage”, but that they “have no set deadline”. The insider added that Swift “regards Joe as one of the few safe constants in her life” and that “he’s always been a huge support and standing by her side.”
The Grammy winner has often spoken about her decision to keep her romance a secret. In a Rolling stone interview with Paul McCartney published in November 2020, she opened up about the desire to create normality in her relationship.
“I can often, in my fears, control how I am as a person and how normally I act and rationalize things, but I can’t control if there are 20 photographers out in the bushes and what they’re doing and if they’re following our car and if they interrupt our lives,” she explained. “I can’t control whether there will be a fake, weird headline about us in the news tomorrow.”
Swift added: “I think knowing him and being in the relationship I’m in right now has definitely made decisions that make my life feel more like a real life and less like a storyline that needs to be commented on in tabloids .”
The Favorite actor has also spoken about the privacy the duo has built up, tellingly British Vogue in 2018: “I am aware that people want to know that side of things. I think we’ve been very private successfully, and that’s getting through to people now.
While the couple’s comments about their love are rare, Swift has taken a moment to gush about her old beau. In her 2020 Miss Americana documentary, she explained that the Boy erased the actor’s “wonderful, normal, balanced life” was what attracted her to him.
