Three are in serious condition after a home in Baltimore exploded due to a reported gas line burst.

A man and two women have been transported to different hospitals after 1121 Bayard Street in Pigtown exploded, completely destroying itself.

The two women were inside the house when it exploded and the man was outside helping the women, fire chief Niles Ford told CBS 2 Baltimore.

The names of the victim have not been released.

Baltimore Gas & Electric is on scene and the Ford said there was a “burst gas line.” Emergency services are working to shut off the gas pipeline.

Authorities are evacuating parts of the area and schoolchildren are currently in lockdown, CBS 2 said.

Firefighters work diligently to stop the gas blaze as several streams of water are sprayed onto the house. 1121 Bayard Street was completely demolished and 1123 was also hit.

A pile of stones was seen on the sidewalk, of which only a small part of the house was still attached to the shared wall.

Windows were blown out in the neighboring house as smoke billowed from the scorched remains.

A large group of firefighters are still on the scene, as well as gas line workers and emergency vehicles are scattered across the street.

This is a developing story, check back later for updates.
