A man stabbed his friend through the heart before posting a Snapchat video of the carnage, saying “man is going to get a whole lot of time,” a murder case heard.

Kyle Walley, 19, died on the kitchen floor of his home in Wrexham, Wales, minutes before England started against Italy in the Euro 2021 final.

His friend Mark Harley Jones, 20, posted videos of the alleged attack and its aftermath on Snapchat after causing Mr Walley to collapse to the ground.

Learned at trial that Mr Walley had invited Jones to watch the match last July but would never ‘see the match’.

Prosecutor John Philpotts said Jones was “a man fascinated by knives” and had told his followers before the attack that he was “going to brag to someone.”

Mr Philpotts said: ‘The fatal stabbing was an incident waiting to happen.’

The jury was shown videos of Mark Jones’ Snapchat stories where he drinks cider and bourbon in Mr Walley’s flat.

In other footage, he made stabbing motions at Mr Walley while holding a knife with his back turned.

The court was also shown video of Mr Walley lying dead as Jones kicked him – and another showing his blood-stained hands on camera saying ‘The man is given a whole lot of time to stab him’.

Mold Crown Court heard Mr Walley was on the phone with a friend who overheard an argument between the two men.

Mr. Walley yelled, “Put the knife down”—and Jones yelled, “It’s my ADHD,” followed by screams.

Threatening messages from Jones to Mr. Walley, later recovered from Mr. Walley’s phone by detectives, were sent the day before the murder.
