CRYSTAL PALACE are chasing Colombia international right-back Daniel Munoz and trying to pull off a shock deal.

Munoz, 27, is a stand-out in the high-flying South American team who are closing in on World Cup qualification.

And the Eagles are keen to do a deal with his Belgian side Genk — who want around £10million.

Munoz wants to move to the Prem and will push for the transfer.

Genk have him under contract for this season with an option of a further year.

Ironically, Palace shareholder John Textor has been trying to take Munoz to Botafogo while another Brazilian club, Palmeiras, have made an offer.

However, the Eagles are expected to top both of those bids.

Palace are also after Marseille attacker Iliman Ndiaye, 23, if he leaves the French club just five months after joining from Sheffield United.

The Senegal forward could be tempted by a Prem return and they would have to fight Everton if he becomes available.

The Selhurst Park club tried for Ndiaye during the summer but he wanted to join his boyhood heroes.

He has struggled in Ligue 1 this season, having only scored once in his 15 appearances.

Previously boss Roy Hodgson had been looking for loan signings but midfielder Kalvin Phillips would cost £5m from Manchester City just for the rest of the season.

The England international has also been a target for Newcastle and Juventus.

However both of the black and white clubs are out of the race as they struggle with the finances needed to sign Phillips.
