Ellie Leach ‘is gutted after new romance with co-star Bobby Brazier was revealed – as she was hoping to keep it secret for longer’

Ellie Leach is reportedly ‘gutted’ after the public learned about her romance with Bobby Brazier.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner, 22, unusally stopped to chat with some fans outside of her hotel in Glasgow on Saturday.

She appeared to distance herself from Bobby, 20, who looked in good spirits on his way out of the hotel ahead of their live show at the OVO Hydro.

‘Ellie is usually really happy go lucky but she’s not been herself recently,’ an insider told The Sun.

‘She’s even stopped chatting to fans who have been desperate to see her, which really isn’t like her. 

‘Ellie is super private and doesn’t really like people talking about her love life. She’s just keeping her head down and concentrating on the tour for now.’

Representatives for Bobby and Ellie have been contacted by MailOnline for comment. 

Ellie looked typically gorgeous in a total black ensemble as she rocked a black leather trench coat, toted with a matching Jacquemus mini bag.

She tied her hair in a slick up-do bun and sported gold earrings and a necklace.

Meanwhile Bobby kept it comfortable in a pair grey joggers and slippers, teaming the cosy look with a zipped jacket.

He wrapped up with a puffed jacket and carried a duffle bag.

Elsewhere Dianne Buswell showcased her midriff in a pair of cream joggers and grey crop top.

The Aussie pro dancer, 34, added a chic cream trench coat and carried a large black tote bag, while waving to the fans mob. 

Angela Scanlon looked effortlessly stylish in a brown fur-trim aviator jacket, teamed with white denim and a chic Burberry scarf.

The Irish TV star, 40, donned light blue Adidas trainers and accessorised with bold red sunglasses, and carried headphones in her hands as she beamed.

Earlier this week, it was revealed the actress and Bobby have grown closer since embarking on the UK tour this month, where they enjoyed a slew of secret dates, insiders have revealed.

But it seems the Coronation Street star was hoping to keep the blossoming romance secret for a bit longer, as those close to her noted how ‘she hasn’t been in the mood to socialise over the last couple of days’.

A source told the publication how the pair have kissed and been on secret dates during their breaks between performances.

On Friday evening, the EastEnders heartthrob continued to don Ellie’s multi-coloured scarf as he arrived back at Blythswood Hotel in Glasgow after the Strictly live show at the Hydro.

The actor continued to fuel speculation that there is in fact a romance blossoming between the pair as he braved the cold in just a black T-shirt, and Ellie’s bold striped scarf.

Bobby looked in great spirits as he beamed from ear to ear in the snaps after another night dancing with the Strictly crew. 

Meanwhile Ellie wasn’t far behind as she arrived at the hotel carrying a huge poster of her and dance partner Vito Coppola. 

Bobby was also seen sporting Ellie’s scarf earlier in the day as they arrived in Glasgow for the show. 

The soap star looked sheepish as he emerged first from the tour bus, while a giggling Ellie followed behind. 

The actress has been pictured wearing the scarf on multiple occasions as she travels around the UK with the rest of the Strictly gang. 

On Tuesday night Ellie shared a selfie on Instagram as she cuddled up to Bobby while on the road from Birmingham to Sheffield.  

Also on Tuesday, pro dancer Nikita Kuzmin posted a photo of Bobby and Ellie having dinner backstage one night on tour, with Bobby’s arm draped around the back of Ellie’s chair. Bobby promptly reposted the cosy photo on his own Instagram.

Bobby and Ellie have been pictured enjoying time together away from their Strictly co-stars, cosying up on a low-key date at Nando’s last week and arriving at their Sheffield hotel together earlier this week. 

The two youngest Strictly stars reportedly partied until 3am after the opening night of their UK tour – just hours before they had to perform again.

Both Bobby and Ellie were said to be among a group of stars letting loose at a lavish hotel bash, according to The Sun, after their first live show at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham.

Strictly bosses reportedly spent £3,000 on hiring an entire floor at the Malmaison hotel in Birmingham for celebrations as the tour kicked off.

After a three-course dinner and drinks the party started as they danced to tunes played off a phone into the early hours.

But after staying up until 3am they had a matinée performance at 2.30pm on Saturday then a second show at 7pm.

Ellie and her pro partner Vito Coppola, 31, were crowned Strictly champions last year, with the pair repeatedly dogged by romance rumours throughout the series.

The former Coronation Street actress became the show’s youngest ever winner as she pipped Bobby and Layton Williams to the post.

However, the pair clarified their relationship status last week, with Vito insisting they are ‘going nowhere’, but confirmed they are just good friends.

Speaking to the The Mirror, he said: ‘We have a great relationship and honestly when you just find people, not just me and Ellie but their family which I love.

‘You just find these people that you think are going to stay in my life forever, in each others lives forever, and all the family and the dogs.

‘We are going nowhere, don’t worry I am going to annoy you every single day, every week and every single year,’ he added.

When asked if they meant as friends, the pair confirmed that they are just good friends as they gave an insight into their close bond.

Bobby split from his model girlfriend Liberty Love last year, and was briefly linked to fashion consultant Boadecia Evans. 

While talking with presenter Claudia Winkleman during one of the Strictly live shows, Bobby revealed that he was sharing a bed with someone and had woken them up by performing a dance move.

He said: ‘I woke up one moment doing this… I woke myself up doing that and then the week before, the person that I shared a bed with, I turned and said this is the industrial twist…’

There had also been speculation around Bobby’s relationship with his dance partner Dianne Buswell, who is 14 years his senior, after he called her his ‘Juliet’.

However, Dianne’s romance with former Strictly partner and YouTube star Joe Sugg, 32, is still going strong.
