Michelle Keegan looks stylish in white blazer as she wins prestigious global TV achievement award after success of her Netflix thriller Fool Me Once
Michelle Keegan was honoured with the prestigious Variety Club Silver Heart Award for Outstanding Achievement in Global Television and Streaming on Wednesday night.
The honour recognised her successful career in TV and her role in the hugely successful Netflix thriller Food Me Once.
Michelle received the award at the Chairman’s Reception on January 31 which celebrated 75 years of the Variety Club where she looked incredible in a white blazer and slinky black satin jumpsuit.
Fool Me Once was number one in 91 Netflix countries and seen by 61 million people in the first two weeks.
Actress Michelle, 36, – who was joined by her husband Mark Wright at the event -stars in the eight-part series which is based on Harlan Coben’s novel of the same name and has been impressing viewers so far.

In the show, Michelle plays the seemingly widowed Maya Stern, but after installing a nanny-cam to keep an eye on her young daughter, she sees her dead husband Joe – played by Richard Armitage – on camera.
This revelation throws Maya into a world of conspiracy as she questions what really happened to her partner, and what role his family, and in particular his mother (Joanna Lumley as Judith Burkett), played in the saga.
Expressing her gratitude at the award Michelle said in a statement: ‘I’m so grateful to receive the Variety Club Silver Heart Award for Outstanding Achievement in Global Television and Streaming.
‘The response to Fool Me Once has been both overwhelming and incredible, I feel privileged to be in a job that I love and to work with extremely talented people.
‘I’m honoured to be celebrating this special moment at the Chairman’s Reception tonight, marking 75 years of Variety, the Children’s Charity’s incredible legacy.’
Professor Jonathan Shalit OBE, Chair of Variety, the Children’s Charity, and Variety Club Showbusiness Awards 2024 added: ‘It is an absolute pleasure to host The Chairman’s Reception, commemorating 75 years of Variety, the Children’s Charity.
‘This event is a testament to the incredible work the organization has done in supporting disabled and disadvantaged children in the UK.
‘Being able to honor Michelle Keegan now a true global icon is enormously special. I am sure many more awards of such prominence will follow.’

The Variety Club Showbusiness Awards dinner returns to London on Sunday April 28th, 2024, hosted by Amanda Holden – but Michelle isn’t able to attend.
Therefore the Variety Club made an early presentation at the Variety Club Chairman’s Reception celebrating 75 years of Variety, the Children’s Charity on Wednesday at the Nobu Hoel, London.
The organisation said: ‘Since its inception in 1938, Variety has bestowed its Showbusiness and Humanitarian Awards upon distinguished individuals who have left an indelible mark on the world.’
Past recipients include Al Pacino, Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Audrey Hepburn, Ewan McGregor, James McAvoy,Keira Knightley and Matt Lucas who have graced Variety Club’s stage.
Others honoured by Variety Club for their stellar work and contributions include HRH Princess Anne, Princess Grace of Monaco, Ricky Gervais, Dames Judi Dench, Dame Maggie Smith, Dame Helen Mirren and Dame Emma Thompson,.
Last year’s honourees at the Variety Club Awards ceremony – which had as its centrepiece a unique centennial celebration of the BBC – included Simon Cowell, Naomi Campbell, and Gary Barlow.

The series sees Michelle’s character Maya Burkett deal with the murder of her husband Joe, months after the killing of her sister Claire (seen in the series)
Its synopsis reads: ‘When ex-soldier Maya sees her murdered husband on a secret nanny cam, she uncovers a deadly conspiracy that stretches deep into the past.’
After it was released at the start of last month Michelle’s husband Mark Wright took to his Instagram Story to praise her new series.
Mark – who tied the knot with Michelle, also 36, in 2015 – was a proud husband as he wrote, alongside a teaser clip: ‘Unbelievable show, unbelievably proud. @michkeegan you’re a superstar.
Fool Me Once is currently available to stream on Netflix.
