Alison Hammond achieved her life-long dream as she ‘married’ Jason Donovan during Saturday’s episode of Michael McIntyre‘s Big Show.

This Morning host Alison, 48, was seen in bed with singer Jason, 55, as they emulated an episode of Blind Date with comedian Michael, 47, acting as the show’s late presenter Cilla Black.

Alison was in fact lined up to appear on Blind Date before she went into the Big Brother house in 2002 and ditched the opportunity to appear on the reality show which catapulted her to fame instead.

With a pink screen between Alison and Jason as they both laid on her bed at home after funnyman Michael paid her a visit for his show, Jason put on a fake accent and gave her clues to help her guess who it was alongside her.

Alison quickly correctly guessed and revealed she wished it was her who had married Jason when he played Scott Robinson in Australian soap Neighbours and his character married Kylie Minogue‘s Charlene Robinson in 1987, much to the amusement of viewers.

After their Blind Date, Michael welcome Alison into his TV studio and gave her a framed picture of Jason as his Neighbours character Scott Robinson alongside his bride, Kylie Minogue’s character Charlene Robinson, at their 1987 show wedding, with Alison’s face superimposed over Kylie’s.

Alison was startled as Michael and his camera crew woke her up and ask her to take part in the fun game for his programme.

A stunned Alison asked Michael: ‘What time is it?’, to which Big Brother narrator Marcus Bentley, 56, appeared and told her: ‘I.30am’.

Alison, who first found fame on Big Brother in 2002, said: ‘Marcus, hello Marcus’, before telling Michael: ‘I love this show. Babes, I’ve got no make-up on.’

To which he told her: ‘Don’t worry we’ve got a glam squad for you.’

Alison’s hair stylist and make-up artist then rushed in and gave her a 30 second makeover, while Marcus counted down the clock.

Last Saturday, viewers were left in tears after a huge US singer’s surprise appearance on the episode.
