FASHION fans are in for disappointment – as one huge TV double act’s days of working together on screen are over.

Susannah Constantine and Trinny Woodall were staples of the small screen during the noughties thanks to their cult show What Not To Wear.

Together, the style icons would ‘ambush’ an unsuspecting fashion victim who had been nominated by a loved one and make them over.

The hugely popular show ran with Trinny and Susannah at the helm for four years and was even nominated for a BAFTA.

But almost two decades on and Susannah, 61, has confirmed she will “never” work with her 60-year-old pal Trinny again.

Susannah told The Sun: “What Not To Wear, no, I would not revive it, I think What Not To Wear was an incredible show.

“The way we did it doesn’t have its place today unfortunately, it would be great but it’s time for the next round of women or men to do it, Trinny and I had our time.”

She continued: “Trinny is so busy with her make-up brand which is phenomenal, and we’ve always been polar opposites and now our lifestyles reflect that so I am very happy living in the countryside, I now consider myself to be a mum first and a wife, very 1950s, who also happens to work.”

And Susannah has ruled out ever appearing on a reality show again.

She tried her luck on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2015 and Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.

She was kicked out first on both shows.

The star told The Sun at a catwalk show hosted by Boots Hearingcare: “I’ll never retire, the most important thing about getting older is to always have a purpose in life.

“I think television has changed so much it’s all about speed and efficiency.

“I think that’s taken away the authenticity that was around in the early 2000s, so it’s a different animal now.

“I love doing the Jeremy Vine Show or Lorraine because you’re talking about things the viewers are interested in.

“Unless it was a documentary of some kind. But not reality TV.”

What Not To Wear burst onto the BBC in 2001, with best friends a colleagues Trinny and Susannah.

The girls had met in 1994 at a party and spent seven years writing a style guide together for a broadsheet newspaper.

On What Not To Wear, Trinny and Susannah were famed for not mincing their words about people’s fashion choices and for referring to breasts as “t*ts”.

The friends bowed out of the show in 2004, with Lisa Butcher and Mica Paris taking over as hosts for another two series’. It was then axed.

Trinny now runs a multi-million pound beauty brand Trinny London, which recently launched in Australia too.

Last year, her turnover was an eyewatering £56,212,000.

Launched in 2017 using a £150,000 investment from a contact at her daughter’s school, it came following a bleak period.

Following the success of What Not To Wear, Trinny ended up struggling to make ends meet, saying: “I couldn’t afford to keep my house; my daughter’s father had died, I was earning zero.”

Susannah works as a journalist and often appears on talk shows, and she is an author.

She also has her own podcast called My Wardrobe Malfunction.

The mum-of-three is an avid wild swimmer and has an Instagram account dedicated to her freezing exploits.

The ex-Strictly star and fashion guru – who was rushed to hospital last year – also opened up about her health shocks and said she has been fitted with a hearing aid.

And she shared her frightening experience, she praised the NHS and neurosurgeons for their exceptional care in hospital.

Susannah spoke to The Sun at Aures London where she hosted a catwalk event starring Love Island alum Tasha Ghouri, 25, who is also the proud wearer of a cochlear implant.
