Kebab-loving Luke Littler applies to trademark nickname for perfume brand

KEBAB-LOVING darts sensation Luke Littler hopes to trademark his “The Nuke” nickname — so he can use it on a brand of perfume.

Luke, 17, has applied to the Intellectual Property Office for clearance to put the stamp on his own merchandise, including soap, cologne and deodorant.

The arrow-sharp teenager would also like to protect personalised footwear, T-shirts, short-sleeve shirts, pyjamas and slippers.

His application also covers merchandise, including dartboards, flights, wallets for the arrows and darts-related games.

The trademark bid was submitted by Gravity Brands Ltd which represents a number of stars in the darts world.

Luke’s popularity rocketed after he pocketed £200,000 despite losing to Luke Humphries, 29, in the World Cup Championship final at Alexandra Palace, North London, in January.

Since then Luke, whose career income beforehand was £2,500, has won the Bahrain Masters and a Players Championship tournament.

He also made a weekly final in the Darts Premier League. Last month, he became an ambassador for clothing giant boohooMAN and he is the face of cereal brand Best.

Experts reckon Luke, from Warrington, Cheshire, will earn a packet by age 21, and reel in £40million over his career.

The Sun previously told how the youngster had set up a company, Luke Littler Darts, which is listed as involved in “other sports activities”.

It will be used for his earnings from the oche and his commercial concerns.
