Netflix fans are jumping for joy after the streamer added all eight seasons of this classic detective comedy
Netflix subscribers are celebrating after Monk, one of the most well-regarded television shows of the 21st century, landed on the service.
The comic detective series starred Tony Shalhoub, 70, as the private detective Adrian Monk, who helped police with unsolved crimes even as he battled his own obsessive–compulsive disorder and a debilitating fear of germs.
The show, which ran for eight seasons from 2002 to 2009 on the USA Network, was such a hit with fans that Peacock revived the character for a follow-up film, Mr. Monk’s Last Case, late in 2023.
Now that Netflix has upgraded its offerings with the classic comedy, fans of the show expressed their excitement on social media, with plenty saying they planned to stay in to binge Monk.
‘Netflix just made my day by adding Monk!!! So so happy!!’ gushed one fan.
